YFoEE Annual Network Gathering

The Network Gathering is the once a year democratic meeting of the YFoEE network. We invite and hope to bring together representatives from all groups and organisations participating in the YFoEE network. This year we plan four days of sharing and getting to know the network, making future network campaign plans, and consultation and decision making on the work and organisation of the network. Approximately 30 people will be taking part in the meeting, in the countryside on the outskirts of Frankfurt. There will also be plenty of opportunities for you to share the recent activities, successes or challenges of your group, share ideas and visions for YFoEE and give input on the needs and wants of your group from the YFoEE network are, and shape the agenda of the meeting to get the most benefit. Where: Bad Nauheim, nr Frankfurt Germany A travel subsidy of 75%, to a maximum of 200 euros, is available to all groups if you need this in order to participate, and we ask bigger organisations to pay their own travel. Please make a request for travel subsidy by filling out a booking form and returning to sophie.manson@foeeurope.org. A limited number of places are available for second participants from your group however no travel subsidy is available for them. Additional places will be given on a first come first served basis, or prioritised if you are an active member of a YFoEE working group. We would like to stress that as a group you select participants to join this meeting and that participants also join the meetings and discussions on behalf of your group at home. To confirm your group’s participation in the Network Gathering, please complete and return the booking form no later than Monday 28th February sophie.manson@foeeurope.org Additional information and preparations: By the end of February, a set of information will again be sent to all member groups, working groups and the YFoEE network. Included in this will be a set of questions and draft agenda that we ask you discuss and consult within your group, in order to prepare for the meeting and ensure that individuals to participate in the meeting can also act and talk on behalf of their group at home. Additionally, we've sent to the whole network a detailed information document about the Steering Group (the YFoEE board) and how you can join the team in 2011/12. Applications are open to anyone- read the information and apply before the 19th March. If you are interested in joining the Steering Group we ask you to be prepared to stay an additional night on Monday 28th March, as we will have a 1½ day Steering Group induction and handover meeting, immediately following the Network Gathering.
